1. Only the composting toilets and the main sanitary building can be used, all other sanitary areas are out of service due to the risk of frost
2. The water and sewage system cannot be used directly at the pitches due to the risk of frost and we do not charge for it. The sewage system is sealed. Even if it gets warm, it will remain unusable until March
3. If you are interested in using the sauna and/or hot tub, you should discuss it with us in the medium term as it takes a longer lead time in winter due to sub-zero temperatures. You operate the services yourself (heating the hot tub and heating the sauna)
4. The cafe only has a very limited range of opening hours and food on offer
5. In the winter months you can buy baked goods yourself in the Nahkauf in Eicherscheid. Distance approx. 3 km, EC withdrawals are also possible there

another year full of shared hours, encounters, sun, rain, laughter, and life on the campsite is coming to an end. 🌿
We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts – for your trust, your loyalty, and the many wonderful conversations this season.
The sun goddess was mostly on our side – and we hope she will continue to be kind to us in 2026. Rain? As always, only at night, please. ☀️🌙
As usual, we would like to inform you about all the important changes and information for 2026 with this letter.

You will receive your invoices by mail in February as usual,
but the annual information will only be available digitally to save paper and resources.
If you have any questions or uncertainties, please contact us by the end of December so we can discuss any necessary adjustments together.
Important Information for 2026
1. Pitch Rental & Showers 🚿
Starting in the 2026 season, the previous €1 fee per shower will be eliminated.
This means no more searching for coins – the shower fee will now be included in the monthly rental fee.
The pitch rental fee will increase by €5.525 per month, including the shower fee and general price adjustment.
In return, the shower fee will be completely eliminated.
To ensure the showers continue to be used efficiently, a new system has been installed:
The water runs for 5 minutes after the button is pressed and then pauses for 2 minutes – without the option for continuous use.
This ensures that showering remains comfortable, fair, and energy-saving.
The new annual rental fee is €1,285.71 (standard pitch).
For comfort pitches, there is a surcharge of €290, plus the 5% overnight accommodation tax payable to the municipality of Simmerath,
which will be shown separately on the invoice.
The tax is forwarded in full to the municipality.
2. Payment Period
Please transfer the annual rent after receiving the invoice between March 11 and 20, 2026.
Prompt payments help keep administrative costs down and ensure a smooth start to the season. 💚
3. Full Lawn Care
The optional full lawn care service remains in place and costs €110 per season in 2026 as well.
Transfers should be made between March 1 and 10, 2026, stating your pitch number and name.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to add information after this time – thank you for your understanding.
4. Electricity Prices ⚡
Electricity prices will remain unchanged at €0.60 per kWh in 2026.
Should any legal or market-related changes occur during the year, we will, of course, inform you immediately.
5. EV Charging Stations
Despite intensive efforts, extensive planning, and repeated consultations with authorities, we are unfortunately unable to implement the planned EV charging stations.
Implementation is currently hampered by technical and bureaucratic hurdles beyond our control.
We will continue to monitor for potential future solutions.
6. Lights & Quiet Hours 🌙
We would like to reiterate our request to refrain from unnecessary lighting at night.
Camp-Hammer is located in one of the most beautiful, still-dark regions of the Eifel – our starry landscape thrives on this natural night.
Please do not leave outdoor lights on all night; use lights only when needed and switch them off again in the evening.
This not only helps the environment but also insects, animals – and the peaceful atmosphere we all value so much. 💫
7. Peace & Consideration 🔥
Whether around the campfire, chatting, or listening to music – please be considerate of your neighbors.
The newly developed area at the top of the woods, with an additional campfire site, now offers more space for groups and reduces noise in the main area.
Should any disturbances occur, please speak to the individuals involved directly and politely – this usually resolves everything more quickly and easily than trying to resolve it through us the next morning.
8. Expansions & New Features 🌲
In autumn 2025, a new area was developed at the edge of the woods, further enhancing the harmonious atmosphere of the campsite.
This area includes additional tourist pitches and new sanitary facilities, further increasing comfort.
The existing sanitary barrels from the dog area will be integrated into this new area and replaced with new, mobile units that can be moved more quickly in case of flooding.
This way, we remain flexible, weatherproof – and even better prepared for the years to come. 🐾
9. New from 2026: Camping Butler 🚻
Starting in April 2026, a Camping Butler will be available near the wooden taxi area.
This convenient device automatically cleans your camping toilets and refills them with fresh water and chemicals as needed.
Use is voluntary; Camping Butler provides the system and charges a small fee per cleaning.

If there are sleeves or metal poles (e.g., for parasols) in the ground on your site, please mark them clearly.

If unmarked metal poles or similar objects are protruding from the ground, the respective site user is liable for any damage to the company's equipment.
