Camp-Hammer is open all year round and is located directly on the picturesque banks of the River Rur, in the heart of the wild Rur Eifel, surrounded by forests, meadows and gentle hills. At the foot of North Rhine-Westphalia’s first national park, you’ll experience pure nature, space and tranquillity. The Eifel National Park is also a certified Dark Sky Park, offering perfect conditions for unforgettable nights under a star-filled sky.

Here, the Eifel shows its most beautiful side: dense forests, clear lakes, deep valleys, rolling hills, charming villages and historic towns. Thanks to our special location, many excursions are close by – and some start right at your doorstep.
The Eifelsteig hiking trail runs directly past Camp-Hammer, inviting you to discover the original, untouched Rur Eifel step by step.

A special highlight is the proximity to Monschau, the Pearl of the Eifel. Its historic old town with half-timbered houses can be reached easily and car-free via the Rur Riverside Cycle Path, starting directly from Camp-Hammer.
