As a host of the Eifel National Park, we feel deeply connected to this unique landscape and its region. Our goal is to protect, preserve and make nature tangible – for ourselves, for our guests and for future generations.
We want you to feel at home with us and to experience nature with all your senses. With a consistent focus on quality and sustainability, guided by the Viabono environmental label, we live a philosophy of regional roots and closeness to nature at Camp-Hammer. Through dedicated training, we are aligned with the protected area of the Eifel National Park and are officially recognised as a Certified Host of the Eifel National Park.
We are especially proud of our CO₂ footprint certification by Viabono, which we passed with flying colours. It shows clearly:
Those who spend their holidays at Camp-Hammer are not only enjoying nature – they are also doing something for nature. 🌱
Camping means nature – and nature is truly lived here.
Protecting the natural night sky is close to our hearts. To reduce light pollution, all outdoor lighting was renewed in 2016: amber-coloured, downward-facing and night-sky friendly. At night, the lights are deliberately switched off.
👉 Small tip: bring a torch.

Under the motto “Lights off – sky on”, the Eifel Star Landscape – and we as Star Hosts – offer you a temporary base for camping beneath a truly star-filled sky.
